Busy scene.. large house or hotel next to pond or small lake. Possibly in Maine, based on where it was purchased. I have provided a cell phone picture and a scan of the entire ambrotype taken out of its case. Overall condition is very good.. there are a few abrasions, which should all be visible in my scan. This is a clear glass ambrotype with a painted black back.
