Alfriend painting Very good antique condition withOriginal cabinet card (6. 5" X 4. 25") of Francis Heath Alfriend (1841 1887), a writer and journalist known for his biography of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Signed in ink, My Dear Clarence, I am still and shall be always, yours faithfully, Frank H. Alfriend Jan 10th, 1880. Clarence was Clarence K. Knowles, a respected lawyer and judge in Atlanta, Georgia. I know this based on other photos picked up with this one. Some foxing and a small
