Description

It corrects a factory 'mistake'

"blinking eye"

but can't recall the source - I would expect these would have been pressed into service on the Krautrock scene as Leslie emulators weren't overly common back then

Demo borrowed from Youtube (with thanks to the uploader) - gives some idea of the range of noises possible:

SAM ASH FUZZZ BOXX (Astro Astrotone) Chorus It corrects a factory 'mistake'Legendary 60s fuzz pedal that Analogman based his AstroTone Fuzz on. Introduced in 1967 by Astro as the Astrotone, it was used by Tommy Bolin, Leslie West, and Gene Cornish of The Rascals. Renamed the Sam Ash Fuzzz Boxx in 1968, and sporting its iconic red wedge shaped enclosure, it was one of the first American fuzzes to employ a tone control. Increasingly hard to find in good order, this one bought from the original American owner is in great shape
