1964 Eero Saarinen for Knoll Tulip Dining Arm Chair with Red Upholstered Cushion Oddities designed by Mario Bellini andThis is a Saarinen Tulip Pedestal Swivel Armchair, Model 150A, initially designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1956. This particular example dates to 1964, which is dated on the underside of the chair. The design features a sculpted tulip like base that is composed of powder coated cast aluminum, and the shell is formed of molded fiberglass. The chair has a new seat pad that is upholstered in a red fabric. There is additional hardware underneath
