With (quite a few) second/third/fourth opinions I'm pretty confident it's from the first half of the 20th century

It's set into an elegantly proportioned 18k gold ring mount that dates from the very early 19th Century

They're often found on grave stones from the middle ages through to the Victorian era

It's intricately detailed

It is composed of graduated gold beads, the largest being 1. 3 centimetres and has a wearable length of 16. 5 inches. The beads are strung on a gold chain and fastens with a gold clasp.
