Heavily influenced by the Mei Peng vases made in early Chinese clay culture. The Cobalt Blue glaze was applied to the vase prior to loading the kiln. The natural wood firing process with intentional wood ash exposure to the hot clay vessels creates a natural glaze from the minerals in the wood ash.
