Gilmor (1838 1883) "Harry the Raider",with Anthony Brady backmark and revenue stamp. Gilmor was a Confederate Cavalry officer during the Civil War, commanding the 1st & 2nd Maryland Cavalry. During General Jubal Early's invasion of the North, Gilmor led hiscavalrymen on the Baltimore County Magnolia Station Raid. About 4" x 2. 5". Overall in VG antique condition, though the mount is slightly trimmed.
