The case is of traditional antique form with engine turned engraving to the reverse and a vacant cartouche in the centre (which could be engraved). The inside is stamped with serial number 98446 and Fine Silver markings. The inner dust cover has two winding holes; one for the mechanism and one to set the time. A pocket watch key is required to operate
