commonly they get pressed a bit to hard and break at worse or at best sort of hang in there and then get lost so you need use the end of a pencil to activate the switch

it may well be the same on other Fostex models I have some E16 ones elsewhere listed they look mechanically the same but its a slightly heavier casting and maybe a mm taller so kept them apart

this unit does goe wrong but its very easy to swop

its a blindingly good condition as nearly 20 years old probably
