Saint Agnes Size:XS: 40 x 20cm French advertising for Liebig's extractSaint Agnes, c1520, (1843). From a picture by Lucas van Leyden of St Agnes (died 304 305 AD). The anniversary of her martyrdom, 21st January, was held as a holiday for the women in England during popish times. The lamb is emblematic of her name.
