King Edward IV (1422 1483) calls in at Grafton, the residence of the Duchess of Bedford and her second husband, Richard Wodeville (Lord Rivers) during a hunting excursion in the Forest of Wychwood. There he meets and falls in love with Lady Elizabeth Grey (1437 1492), the widow of Sir John Grey, a Lancastrian noble. They were later married in secret.
