I guess you could probably get modern parts a lot smaller and mount them in the can but i have not seen these go wrong unlike in the REVOX units

They were used in earlier models there is no part number on them just TEAC and a 3 in the corner

These are the pair of gear cogs in a Fostex R8 that work with the capstan motor and over time can get brittle and crack

Nice easy panel to replace and looks great

TEAC A3440S Main internal mounting plate I guess you could probablyThese are not normall needed as a spare though I make it a rule to keep one just in case for each machine I dont need, you never know This is a very solid aluminium plate on which is mounted all the mtors and parts etc, it has to be very flat And is one of the reasons why the machines were very expensive, if your machine has suffered a serious fall this may get you running again.
