Whilst in the army, Price found his calling fronting a large dance band playing swing music to the troops. This sparked the idea to combine the full sound of an orchestra with the rhythmic tempos of rhythm and blues. He became Coloquially known as "Mr Personality" after his Million selling hit "My Personality" and released "This Is My Band" as a compilation album 1981.
