Antique Photo North Carolina Photographer Self Portrait PROP Camera on Tripod! csa The seals are no longerOriginal late 1880s, early 1890s cabinet card, photographer outdoors with his equipment, including a camera on tripod. This is no doubt a self portrait of Valentine Stirewalt. What is very unusual about this photograph and it's something I don't think I've ever seen before.. is that the camera appears to be a prop. The theory is that he only had one camera, which was used to take the photo so Stirewalt had this realistic looking prop made.
