His left hand rests upon a chair back. A pair of gloves is lying on the seat of the chair. Printed below the image: 'MAULL & Co. LONDON'. The reverse is variously inscribed: printed 'Maull & Co. Photographers, 55 GRACECHURCH STREET, 187A, PICCADILLY and TAVISTOCK HOUSE, FULHAM ROAD, LONDON.' There is a pencilled negative number: '42357'. John Hutton
