I just am not confident enough to say positively without taking the back off

Great 1/4 Daguerreotype Photo of a Family Sealed + Full Leather Case 1840s 1850s uni reinforced seams at shoulderQuarter plate, late 1840s daguerreotype of a family, in full leather case. Some tarnish, but the original paper seals are still intact and the image is undamaged. The case is nice, though the spine has been repaired with tape.
