Edward V mb-code LMG128877 Back view of the ManorEdward V, King of England, 1483 (1932). Edward V (1470 1483?) succeeded his father, Edward IV, as King in April 1483. He was deposed in June and was succeeded by his uncle, Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who ruled as Richard III. Edward and his brother Richard, Duke of York, were subsequently murdered in the Tower of London From Kings and Queens by Eleanor and Herbert Farjeon, 1932.
