Melon Pitcher in Patina Green, 11.75"h (Ben Owen III) Bryan Pulliam 1969- Ben III presses his fingersA great result from the recent wood firing on this melon pitcher. The Patina Green finish can resemble moss growing along the surface of a tree trunk or a weathered copper roof, this form works well for displaying the artistic Patina Green finish. This glaze is a blend of a copper glaze and the natural ash accumulation from the wood firing process. Micro crystals have formed on the surface of the piece during the slow cooling of the kiln. Measuring 7.
