4x6 Vintage Afshar Rug Size:4'2" x 5'11" Exact size measures 4'6" x:: Triple center medallion south west Persian Afshar with floral cross sections and meandering vine leaf and pinwheel borders. Afshar carets were typically woven with a wool pile and wool foundation up through the early 1920's. At and around the early 1920's and forward they were comprised of wool pile and cotton foundation. This particular rug features warps which spin cotton and wool together, suggesting it's part of the transition period of 1915
