1908 Lanchester Size:L: 80 x 60cm The first stone of the1908 Lanchester. Formed in 1905, the Lanchester Motor Company was the first British motor manufacturer to export left hand drive cars, with overseas customers including Henry Ford and a number of Indian Maharajahs. Lanchesters enjoyed a reputation for being reliable cars. The company was taken over by the BSA Daimler group in 1933, and production of Lanchesters was reduced, the last car being built in 1955.
