Rich pure dark crimson. The nose shows the fruit more and the oak less compared to Maltroie. Builds density within a stylish framework. Again, the oak shows a little with its cream and butter finish. Ripe redcurrant with some darker berry fruits alongside. Finesse, as we expect from Clos St Jean. Tasted Feb 2021.
