Led by singer Iggy Pop, the group helped lay the foundations for later punk rock with this album. The songs are raw, minimalist and energetic, with simple but compelling riffs. Well known tracks are '1969', 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' and 'No Fun'. The album was produced by John Cale of The Velvet Underground and is regarded as an influential starting point
