PRINCE - WELCOME 2 AMERICA 2LP Jonas Rathsman including former Megadeth guitarist ChrisPrince recorded Welcome 2 America at Paisley Park in the spring of 2010, then set the album aside without explanation. His estate finally released it in July 2021. It is openly political work: over tight funk backing, the title track talks through disinformation, social media and racism. Morris Hayes co produced, with Tal Wilkenfeld on bass and Chris Coleman on drums, and singers Shelby J, Liv Warfield and Elisa Fiorillo fill out the backing vocals.
