It's made by the family owned Vignobles Vellas estate in the heart of the Cahors wine region. Winemaker Nicolas Vellas had a predilection for the Malbec grape, but it didn't really work out for him in the first few years. He planted a vineyard in Cahors full of Malbec grapes, which seemed like a never ending project, but thankfully, he persevered and now produces a truly magnificent Malbec! As he
